Since retirement Bruce has pursued his two passions of photography and travel.  He seeks to capture a

moment in time or a sense of place that will speak to others.  In his artist's statement he says:

"Photography has heightened my awareness of the world around me."

His portfolio of black and white prints features architectural detail and design; his colourful images

capture the magical quality of light.

Bruce is a founding member of the Oxford Photographic Arts Guild and holds membership in the Woodstock

Camera Club, Oxford Creative Connections, the Ingersoll Creative Arts Centre and the Woodstock Art Gallery.

He has exhibited in juried shows locally at the Woodstock Art Gallery and the Elm Hurst Inn & Spa (Ingersoll)  as well as elsewhere at the JMR

Gallery (Bayfield), Ayrspace Gallery of Visual and Functional Art (Ayr), the Art Gallery of Lambeth and the Glenhyrst Gallery (Brantford).

Locally he participates in the Oxford Studio Tour in May and exhibits at Oxford Creates in November.

A selection of his work including notecards is currently available at the Woodstock Art Gallery, the Ingersoll Creative Arts Centre and the Quality

Hotel & Suites in Woodstock.

The photographic art on this site is available for sale in a range of sizes by contacting the artist.  All images are copyright property of Bruce

 Hartley.
